It wasn't really all that much to write home about. Yet, here I am, writing home about it.
I ran my first mile since the May 27 surgery. Since my daily walks had gotten longer and longer, I thought I'd give it a whirl during today's sojourn. How did it go, you ask?
Pretty bad. But it could have been worse; it could have not happened at all. But as it was, I ran said mile in fourteen and a half minutes. Believe it or not, there have been times when I've actually run even slower. That's another way it could have been worse.
Where to next, you ask? Heck if I know. Okay, I'm pretty sure that I won't be doing any ultras for a while. Or even very much running at all. It's still baby steps for me. But maybe a few more of them in shuffle mode.
